Denim in Paris
Bye bye Barcelona!
Première Vision Denim said goodbye to Barcelona and – all pragmatic - goes back to Paris. Close to the Porte de la Villette the Denim community met to exchange ideas. Even if the Amsterdam fair Kingpins becomes more important, the exhibitors were surprised about the afflux. Thomas Dislich from Vicunha emphasized: “ It was humming the two whole days”.
The key stories were bi-stretches for slim high comfort. They seem definitely to outstrip jogg jeans.
Wiped out summed up all the bleached qualities with expressive treatment of seams and repair effects.
Artistic blur showed washed jacquards – a clearly upward climbing theme – and prints.
Sun blushed favours light rosé and aqua shades as colour message. Added value continues to be achieved with decoration, either with allover typographics and handwriting in Speakeasy or with opulent embroideries and patches. They give denims a new and expressive aspect.
